The Pioneer November, 1995
It is a welcome sign that more and more schools are realising the importance of performing arts, particularly theatre, in the development of a child's personality.
A few weeks ago, DPS (R K. Puram) had staged Gurcharan Das's play Larins Sahib and now, it was New Era Public School which came out with a delightful performance of Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden in Kamani auditorium earlier this week.
The play was directed by the duo, Bubbles Sabbarwal and Lushin Dubey, who have to their credit a number of well-received productions.
But all praise to the main cast of the play led by young Nisha Bajaj who gave an extremely facile performance as Mary Lennox. Equally impressive was Payal Vashisth as the housekeeper - Miss Medlock, Ragini Nayak as Martha, Vivek Nallur as Dickon and Sachinav Arora as Colin were a pleasure to watch.
